Özet (EN)
This thesis examines the construction activities of the Anatolian Seljuk State from the Battle of Manzikert in 1071 to the Battle of Köse Dağ in 1243, focusing on their political, economic, and cultural impacts. Employing historical analysis methods, the study evaluates architectural works, urban planning, and infrastructure projects from the Seljuk period. Findings indicate that the Seljuks established a lasting Turkish-Islamic culture in Anatolia through the construction of mosques, madrasas, caravanserais, inns, baths, and water structures. These structures not only met religious and social needs but also facilitated trade and economic growth in cities. The research concludes that Seljuk construction activities played a crucial role in the Turkification and Islamization of Anatolia, leaving a legacy that influenced subsequent periods.
