Abstract (EN)

In recent times, with the increase in fuel costs, people are trying to produce motors that can be a solution to these expectations in automotive companies with increasing environmental sensitivity. Turbochargers, which have been developed close to the development of internal combustion engines, have created an important place in this area as they provide various possibilities. Turbochargers used especially in diesel vehicles have become a necessity because of the increase in legal regulations and to meet expectations in the market. In internal combustion engines, each increase in the density of the fuel and air mixture provides a power boost in the engine. Thus, the engine cylinder volume can be reduced and high power can be obtained. In this case, the mechanical loss can be reduced and the engine can be increased mechanically. Nearly all of today's diesel vehicles use turbocharging units to perform this task. Turbochargers are vehicles that increase the amount of air in the fuel-air mixture so that more power is expected from engines with small cylinder volumes. In this thesis, calculations were made using the CONCEPTS NREC program specially designed for turbo machines, according to the characteristics of a four-cylinder diesel engine. The design of the engine that allows high-efficiency operation is based on the critical points of turbocharging. Turbocharging performance under engine operating conditions was examined with the corresponding program in the CONCEPTS NREC package program specially designed for turbo machines.
