Özet (EN)

Azerbaijan's intervention in Karabakh and the recapture of its territories under Arme-nian occupation for nearly thirty years raised the question of whether a similar scenario would take place in the similarly qualified Halayeb region in the Middle East. This re-gion, which has been a problem between Egypt and Sudan for more than a century, has its own characteristics both in terms of its historical background and the developments in the past. This problem sparked with the 1899 Condominium Treaty signed after Eng-land came to the region, and this problem was exacerbated by Egypt's sending troops to the region in 1992 and it has become an unsolved problem that has been included in international law since then. Although this problem is similar in structure to the border problems between other states in the world, it has its own distinctive features. With this study, it will be tried to shed light on the reasons that make the problem of the Halayeb Triangle unsolvable, which has been going on for more than a century, by examining the developments in the region chronologically using the historical analysis method. In addition, the policies of the states with border problems in the region, their claims on the region and the steps taken to solve this problem in international law and the expec-tations for the future of the problem will also be included.
