Abstract (EN)
Old Egypt is basicly divided into three parts in polical history: 1. Old Kingdom2. Middle Kingdom 3. New Kingdom. t is possible to see the effects of religion onpolitical life in Egypt. Especially, Egypt Kings named Pharaoh attributed divinecharacters to themselves or identified themselves with a God. Religion proved it?sworth not only in political life but also in every area of society excessively.In Egypt, Gods had different duties. The most worshipped God was `?Ra??.Some of the Gods functioned as Kingdom God and in every area of society they wereworshipped. In Egypt, having a pdytheistic religion type, alt hough a monotheisticreligion type was braught in Amonofis IV. era, society didn?t adopt this religion whichwas effective only in and arcound palace.On the traditions and customs of Egypt, it is possible to see the effect ofreligion. In Egypt, many animals were suppased to be haly. The figures of sameGods were identified with animals. Also, pyramids are important in terms of Egypthistory. Pyramids, planned as king graves, have some deep meanings asaarchitectural and symbolic power. In this respect, Gize pyramids are the most famouspyramids group.In Helen and Roma Eras, some of the Egypt. Gods continued to bewoshipped. Howeuer, A.D., this polytheistic belief system has tumed into amonotheistic belief system in time.
