Assistants school principal and teachers opinions for the effects of public school principals on creation of organizational culture

Abstract (EN)

In this study, according to the asistants school principal and teachers opinion the effects level of public school principals on creation of organizational culture have been researched and the variation significance of the school principals and teachers opinion, based on their different socio-demographic background have been analyzed. This study has been prepared in accordance with general screening model and School Principals Attitudes in Organizational Culture Measure designed by the researcher has been used in order to determine the effects level of public school principals on creation of organizational culture. Personal Information Form used in order to collect asistants school principal and teachers opinion and data related to the independent variants of the research. The population of study was the asistants school principal and teachers in primary and secondary school of Bayrampaşa district in Istanbul in 2012-2013 academic years. The sample of the research consists of 456 asistants school principal and teachers and principals selected by random sampling method. According to research results, asistants school principal and teachers opinion about the effects of public school principals on creation of organizational culture, were not evident in the dimensions of culture of power, culture of support and culture of success, is determined. According to research results, it could be said that male asistants school principal and teachers believe in the effects of school principal on organizational culture creation, especially culture of support more than the female asistants school principal and teachers. Similarly experienced asistants school principal and teachers believe to the effects of school principal on creation of culture of power, culture of support and culture of success more than new asistants school principal and teachers. The asistants school principal and teachers over 30 years old believe to the effects of principal on organizational culture creation more than the asistants school principal and teachers in the age group of 21-29. However, opinions of the asistants school principal and teachers about the effects of school principal on organization culture are not significantly vary with differences of their background such as school of graduation, current school type and area of specialization.
