Prof. Dr. Erol ÖZTÜRKTemmuz 2009, 141 pagesABSTRACTIn this study, collections were made from sixteen village of Mudurnu and phonetic properties of Mudurnu dialect had been researched.In the introduction part of the study; the information about the history, socioeconomic condition and the phonetic properties of Mudurnu, had been given; the importance of phonetic studies had been mentioned.In the investigation part, the vowels and the consonants had been presented and explained. Assimilation ? dissimilation, harmony ? inharmony, voice changes, hyphaeresis and epenthesis about the vowels and consonants had been explained by the examples taken from the collected texts.In the text part, thirty texts were collected from sixteen villages had been transcribed.In the final part, characteristic properties about phonetics in Mudurnu dialect had been listed item by item.In the sources part, the sources used during the study had been included.In the appendix part, the photographs of the villages and the people where the collections made had been included.Key Words: Mudurnu dialect, phonetics, vowels, consonants
