Abstract (EN)
In this study historical city texture is perceived as a whole and all other buildings as parts of this whole. Therefore, the traditional settlement of the city of Mudurnu is analyzed and a preservation proposal program is developed in this direction. The study contains six chapters, including the introduction and conclusion. After the introduction part in which the aim and the method of the work is explained, a background of the physical, historical, social, economical and architectural characteristics of the study field is given in the second chapter, and they are analyzed in the third chapter. Then, the possibilities and problems are determined according to the results of analysis in the previous chapter. General planning decisions on preservation of Mudurnu Büyük Camii, Seyrancık and Kaygana neighborhoods in modern circumstances are determined in the fifth chapter. In the last part, as a conclusion, the present preservation program for public improvement plan is found to be insufficientIV and need to be reorganized.
