Pyhsical and historical textures,civilian achitectural samples, environmental analysis and conservation to propose of Mudurnu

Since the beginning of the 19th Century, cities Which have historical qualifications or natural areas are being thought in the status of conciously protected places. In this respect, in Western countries several regulations have been set. Regarding our country, these regulations have been prepared later than the Western countries. Until the seventies, many buildings have been damaged, broken down, dissapeared; after these years with some `protection? laws these have been tried to be decreased.For this purpose manymanagement boards have been set, reportings of our cultural values have been made and protection plans have been prepared. But in our country these Works could not work properly, because all are being made in central management focus, our people have unconscious protection suggestions and demands, and also local managements could not realize protection programs in real life. Consequently the situation of these areas are going worst an in time they will disappear. This thesis consists of six sections and anexes, all have been prepared to demonstrate the city of Mudurnu, which is one of the places need to be protected. 1st and 2nd sections, which are about the phsyical and cultural qualifications, inform us of the city background, which ages it has been witnessed and effected and also its geographical status. In the 3rd section form of the city is aimed to be reflected. All roads, streets, historic architectural constructions have been examined and also all have been shown on the maps and papers. In the 4rd section the buildings, which are main and most important part of the city form, have been taken into consideration; plans, outdoors, architectural elements have been examined and prepared a catalogue from the unique samples. 5th section is the evaulation and result section, process and suggestions have been declared for the protection of the Mudurnu. 6th and the last section is about the measurements and includes restitution of the `Astarcılar Konağı? which is a sample for the informal architecture of the city.
