The reflection of Hz. Omar's jurisprudential approach in the context of Muallafatul Qulub on today's zakat practices

With the expansion of Islamic territories through increasing conquests, new problems related to jurisprudential issues emerged. In the periods following Prophet Muhammad, the practices of the companions (sahabah) played an important role in resolving these problems. Particularly, Hz. Omar contributed to solving these issues through his practices and also played a role in shaping Islamic law. This study addresses the status of muallafatul qulub in today's zakat systems, drawing on Hz. Omar's approach towards muallafatul qulub. By identifying the status of muallafatul qulub in the zakat systems of the countries studied, it evaluates these practices within the framework of Hz. Omar's understanding of fiqh. The primary methods used in this study are research, examination, and analysis. These methods provided the opportunity to make comparisons by considering the topic in a historical context, thus aiming to facilitate easier understanding of the issue.
