A Study of folk beliefs and practices Muğla-Yatağan and surroundings

ABSRACTFolk beliefs have an important role in the life of human beings andsocieties as well. Therefore, they are one of the basic subjects to be studiedcarefully. Thus, in my study entitled ?A Study of Folk Beliefs and PracticesMuğla-Yatağan and Surroundings? it is explained the information about folkbeliefs; in addition, considering of relation environment-human and society,and also given short information on history of the region.Our study consists of an introduction, four chapters and a conclusionand the pictures related to the subject.Introduction chapter gives idea about the importance of study andmethod used. In the first chapter, it is dealt with rising of folk beliefs and theirfeatures. Historical and socio-economical informations of region involved aregiven in the second chapter. In the third chapter, folk beliefs in differentsubjects and their practices are studied. In the fourth chapter, there isinformation about the tales known and impressed the mind of people.In the conclusion, results of the study are explained and evaluated. Atend of the study, there are the documents and pictures that support the study,acquired data.VI
