Uzbek culture and Uzbek literature are very rich and host a deep-rooted heritage. The lands of Uzbekistan, which were under the rule of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union for a long period, have not suffered any loss in their cultural heritage. National values and the nationalism movement are the prominent points in contemporary Uzbek poetry. The aim of this study is to touch upon the themes and especially the nationalist elements used in the poems of Muhammed Ali Ahmedov, one of the poets of contemporary Uzbek literature. For this purpose, poetry analyzes will be made through current sources and Contemporary Uzbek poetry will be emphasized in general terms. Subsequently, an idea about the artist's life and his poetry style in general will be obtained and some poetry examples will be examined. At the completion of the research, a conclusion will be reached within the framework of the data obtained.
