The work of Muhammed b. Bedruddin el-Munsi titled Serhu Mukaddimeti İbni'l-Cezeri (Review-text)

Muhammed b. Bedreddin, who became famous with his nickname Münşî, started his student life in Akhisar District of Manisa, and received his permission by being educated by very valuable scholars in Istanbul. Münşî, who served as a judge in very important regions such as Mecca and Medina during the Ottoman period, produced valuable works in various fields. His work called Şerh-u Mukaddimetü İbnü'l- Cezerî, which he wrote in the field of tajwîd, is also among the works mentioned. This work is an annotation of Cezerî's introduction and has been written in order to help those who are new to reading in Münşî's own words. In the work in question, the author made preliminary preparations for the subject of origin and adjective by introducing the names of the original letter, sound, air and teeth in the mouth before mentioning the origin and adjectives of the letters. After giving wide coverage to the subject of origin and adjective, he enriched the subjects of his work by also touching on subjects such as lahn-ı hafî and lahn-ı celî. The aim of this study is to contribute to the world of science by introducing the aforementioned author and his work. The study, which is about the author and his work, consists of an introduction, three main sections and a conclusion. In the first part, the author of the work, the life of Muhammed b. Bedreddin al-Munshi has been examined. In the second part, after the subjects in the author's work called Şerh-u Mukaddimeti İbni'l-Cezerî, which is the subject of the thesis, are explained through classical works and recent recitation and tajwid copyrights, Munshi's views on these issues are mentioned. In the third and last part of the thesis, the transcription text of the work is given considering the DIA translation script alphabet. In the conclusion part, a general evaluation about the subjects covered by the work in question has been made and the values that the work will add to the education of the Qur'an have been revealed. Thus, it was possible for the study to be a source for academic studies to be carried out in this field.
