A transcription and study on Muhammed b. Mustafa en-Na'îmî's Tezhîbü't-Tilâve fî 'İlmi't-Tecvîd ve'l-Kırâe

Known as Kettanîzâde, Muhammed b. Mustafa en-Na'îmî is a scholar who lived in the 18th century, worked as a teacher and sheikh al-qurrâ, and is known for his works in the field of recitation and tajweed. Na'îmî, who is also known as the owner of the Mutkin profession, which is based on the method of azîmet in Egyptian tarîq, has a famous work in the field of recitation called Mutkinu'r-rivaye fî 'ulûmi'l-kırâati li'ddirâye. The only manuscript of Na'îmî that can be accessed in a copy for the science of tajweed is a manuscript known as Tezhîbü't-tilâve fî 'ilmi't-tecvîd ve'l-kırâe, which is in a magazine, consists of 50 leaves and stands out with its rich content. In the first part of this study, in which the transcription and analysis of Tezhîbü't-tilâve was made, the subject, purpose, importance and sources of the study were first mentioned. In the second part, the life of the author, the period in which he lived, his teachers, students, contemporaries, scientific personality and works are mentioned. In the third part, an introduction was made with the subjects included in the work and a short introduction; the definition, subject, provision, purpose and evidence of the science of tajweed are presented; in the continuation, the virtues of the Qur'an recitation, the things that are necessary for the bearers of the Qur'an, the teaching and learning of the Qur'an, the qualifications of the Qur'an teacher and the Qur'an student, the tone of the Qur'an are important topics are mentioned. Afterwards, the main and secondary letters, the concept of origin, the number of origins, the regions of origin, the origins of the primary and secondary letters, the famous and non-famous adjectives of the letters, the individual attributes of the letters, the issues related to the tecvid of the letters, the provisions of calm nûn and tanween, idgâm and its varieties. Major tajweed and recitation issues such as lâm-ı tâ'rif, med and qasr, the priority of letters and movements, waqf and ibtidâ, science of numbers, Rasmu'l-Mushaf and Hafs Riwayah had been discussed and the examination part was concluded with a rhetoric. In the last part of the study, after giving information about the name, copy and physical structure of the work, transcription work was carried out. During the processing of the work, the views of many important recitation scholars from ancient times regarding the science of tajweed were included; recently, authors who have produced valuable works in the field of tajweed have also been frequently used.
