Muhammad Mmahmūd al-Sawwāf's "Fātiha al-Qur'ān and Juz Amma al-Khātimu li al-Qur'ān" the method of interpretation in his title

The science of tafsīr is the branch of science that is applied to make the Qur'ān understandable for the readers. Commentators have applied to many branches of science to explain the verses and convey their messages to people. In the interpretation of the verses, The Prophet, the Sunna of the Prophet, the Companions, the Tabiin and later the commentators form the basis of this science. In order for the readers to understand the meaning and messages of the Qur'ān easily, the commentators did not content themselves with these, but also benefited from other sciences according to their interests. Some of these sciences are history, philosophy, sociology, psychology, medicine and astronomy that the commentators of the Qur'ān benefit from. Sawwāf is one of the scholars who lived in the 20th century and worked in the field of Tafsīr. In this study, we have tried to examine the work of Sawwāf in terms of Qur'ānic sciences and exegesis methods, and to determine the prominent aspects in his Tafsār. The author has benefited from modern approaches as well as classical methods in his Tafsār. In his one-volume work, Fatiha al-Qur'ān and Juz Amma, he sometimes indirectly refers to the sociological aspect of the society he lives in.
