Abstract (EN)
Reza Shah was sent into exile after the occupation of Iran by Allies during the Second World War and his son, Mohammed Reza, became the new Shah of Iran. This replacement deeply changed the political situation of Iran and the Shah had to share his power with the parliament. The power struggle between different political groups of the Iranian parliament began after the replacement of the Shah, in 1941 and it continued until 1951 when Mohammed Mosaddegh formed the government. Moreover, in this period, the UK, the USSR and the USA which are the occupant states in Iran, involved this struggle to get the benefit for themselves. In 1950, Mosaddegh established the National Front, which is a united front and pioneered the nationalization of all underground sources, including petroleum of south, where the UK has privilege; he succeeded in this question and became a national hero in Iran. Having great support from the public, Mosaddegh has become the president after his success. During his presidency which has started in 1951 till the coup in August 1953, he limited the power of Shah as he could and finished the influence of the U.K. over Iran due to the petroleum crisis between two countries. Since the U.K. has lost one of the country's main economic resources, the U.K. has persuaded pro-Shah movement, U.S. and opponents of Mosaddegh to take power from the government. In the end, on the lead of CIA, a group of high ranked military personnel has taken over the power from the government on 19 August 1953.
