Abstract (EN)

When the accounting field is considered in general, it has a wide range of employment areas both in public and private enterprises and as a self-employed person. In our country, there are high school, associate degree, undergraduate and graduate education opportunities in order to gain knowledge and skills to individuals who can work in these fields. In addition to including both theoretical and practical courses on the basis of accounting education, it also aims to provide the student with the ability to make analysis and interpretation. The aim of the research is to contribute to the recognition of generations, to increase the productivity in education by analyzing the perspective of Z generation students on accounting education and their expectations from accounting education and making suggestions in line with the findings. The questionnaire form prepared for this purpose was applied to the students who continue or graduate from Adıyaman University and Adıyaman Vocational Schools. The data obtained as a result of the applications were analyzed with the help of statistical package program. The analyzes were carried out in line with the demographic variables of the participants, t-test and Anova tests. As a result of the evaluations, it is seen that the participants' perspective on accounting education is generally positive. It is seen that the expectations of the participants from accounting education are analytical thinking, enrichment of intellectual abilities and increasing cognitive thinking ability.
