Özet (EN)
Nowadays, the number of financial products and services that people encounter has increased, and in addition, people's access to these products and services has become easier. Therefore, people today are making more financial decisions than ever before. People need to act consciously when making decisions that affect both their current and future lives. In our changing and developing world, especially due to the increasing diversity in financial products and services, people need to be able to protect themselves against possible risks and turn this diversity into opportunities. According to the results of the researches conducted, it has been seen that people act unconsciously in financial matters and experience great losses as a result. Therefore, in order for people to make reasonable decisions, they should be able to be financially literate by receiving financial education The aim of this research is to determine whether the financial literacy levels of accounting and finance teachers working in vocational and technical high schools in Ankara province make a significant difference according to demographic characteristics. The financial literacy score did not provide a normal distribution according to the Kolmogorov-Simirnov and Shapiro-Wilk tests. Therefore, non-parametric methods were used in the analysis of group differences. Mann-Whitney U test was applied for two groups, and Kruskal Wallis test was applied for three and above groups. As a result of the analysis, significant differences were obtained in terms of gender, age, marital status, educational status, work experience, job, income level, number of children and financial education status (p<0.05). No significant difference has been determined in terms of owning their own house and car (p>0.05). In addition, a significant relationship was determined between the interest, perception, attitude and expenditure sub-dimensions, and it has been found that among these sub-dimensions, the perception sub-dimension had the most effect on financial literacy (r=0,715, p<0.05).
