Abstract (EN)
This research examines the challenges faced by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in engineering programs in producing graduates who meet the demands of today's competitive global workforce. Considering employer concerns, the necessity of enhancing the graduate profiles of engineering students is emphasized. This development should encompass not only technical skills but also non-cognitive qualities such as cultural intelligence and self-efficacy. A literature analysis has provided significant insights into the critical success factors for engineering graduates. Based on these factors, the study aims to enhance the quality of engineering education by highlighting the connections between experiential learning, academic self-efficacy, cultural intelligence, and perceived employability. Additionally, it focuses on developing students' abilities not only in technical knowledge but also in practical experience, self-efficacy, cultural diversity awareness, and employability, making them more responsive to the expectations of the business world. This study can help HEIs make engineering education more competitive and effective on a global scale. Academic self-efficacy contributes to students' understanding of their abilities and their effective utilization of these abilities. Cultural intelligence equips students with the skills to interact with different cultures and develop intercultural communication abilities. Perceived employability helps students define their career goals and adapt to the changing needs of the business world. Implementing this model can encourage HEIs to continuously review and update their engineering programs. This ensures that engineering education remains current and effective by keeping pace with rapid changes in technology and the business world. Consequently, HEIs can equip engineering graduates not only with technical knowledge but also with a broad range of skills that meet business expectations, giving them a competitive advantage. This study has the potential to transform engineering education from merely imparting knowledge to enabling students to effectively respond to the challenges of the business world.
