The Method of tamil of Mugatil b. Süleyman in his tafsir el-Kur`an

Muqatil b. Sulayman is one of the leading authorities of tafsir at his time. He was criticized by the Muhaddisûn since he did not pay enough attention on isnâd. İn my thesies I have dealt with the issue of languega-thought-existence depending upon his works, especially his at-Tafsîr al-Kabîr. Muqatil claims mat there is a correspondence between the hierarchical order of existence (vucûd) with the order of word (kalâm). Hence he does not interprets those words talks aboute absolute unnown (el-gayb el-mutlak) by reasining. IX
