Mukatil b. Süleyman's tafsir-i kebir and İsrailiyyat

The period of Mukâtil b. Süleyman's life is the period when Islam has just begun to spread in Khurasan. Therefore, they live in the period when there are conflicts and confusions of religion and ideas. The prominent feature of Mukâtil b. Süleyman's scientific personality is that he is an exegesis. Although Mukâtil b. Suleyman was one of the earliest in the history of commentary, there are some reasons for not giving enough information in the tafsir books. One of these is the fact that they do not mention the sources in their narrations, and the other is that they have placed in the commentary without distinguishing each narrative. Therefore, it is stated that information related to Israel in this time is included in his tafsir. The Arabs are an illiterate society. When they wanted to learn something they did not know, they were applying to Jews or Christians. At that time there were Jewish communities living among the Arabs. The information that these people had informed, spread among the Arabs, and later on with their acceptance of Islam, led to the confusion of Islamic and Islamic cultures. As a result of the survey, It has been found that there are many narrations about Israel in Mukâtil b. Suleyman Tafsir-i Kebir. While these narratives are seen in the chapters which are described in short chapters, it is also seen in the places outside it as the way in which the verses deal with direct persons and events related to their natural causes. In these accounts, it is determined that there are those who are not in conformity with Islam as well as those that are in conformity with Islam. However, in the evaluations made here, it has been emphasized that only the narrations contain Israeli artefacts by comparing them with sources such as DIB and İbni Fracture tafsiri. However, there is no evaluation as to whether it is suitable for Islam. The work of the writer was a resource that was used in the early times, but was not taken into consideration much in the following periods.
