Abstract (EN)
One of the important anthologies of the Tanzimat period is the two-volume Müntehabat-ı Asar-ı Osmaniye by Alekander Konstantinidi Efendi, of Ottoman Greek origin. This work has been prepared to teach Greek children Ottoman Turkish, customs, traditions and Ottoman history. The first volume of this work was published in 1871 and contains examples of children's literature. The second volume, written in 1874, is for young people. Ⅰ. The volume contains 10 stories, 16 letters, 8 translations, 37 ghazals, 3 odes, 1 tahmis, and texts on Ottoman and Islamic history. Ⅱ. The volume contains 39 stories, 9 translations, 1 article on child education and articles containing general information. Since the audience addressed by the author is primary school students, the work's Ⅰ. skin and Ⅱ. The language of most of his skin is plain. The aim of studying the work of Aleksander Konstantinidi Efendi called Müntehabat-ı Asar-ı Osmaniye; It is to try to convey the work, which has not been translated into Latin letters until now, to today's readers by transferring it to Latin letters. The information given in the sources about the life and works of the author is limited. For this purpose, the study started by researching the life and works of Alekander Konstantinidi Efendi. While translating the text into transcription, it was faithful to the original. In the research, document analysis, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was carried out and scanning and translation methods were used.
