Abstract (EN)

Literature started with oral culture and not with written culture and it has come to these days after thousands of years of adventure. From the first centuries it emerged to today's e-texts, the aim of literature is always to tell a story. In addition, one of the main objectives has always been aesthetic pleasure. Literature, which is not only used for aesthetic pleasure, has also been used as a tool in some periods and cultures. Since Homer, texts have undergone certain changes. Realism, naturalism, and romanticism are the factors that provide these changes. Of course, the reason for this change is directly related to daily life and scientific developments. The history of mankind, which has been transformed into a modern structure with the industrial revolution, is skipping these leaps more clearly and with big steps, especially as of the twentieth century. This changing socio-economic structure has also influenced the authors, and literature has also been affected. With the modern period, the writers, who were closed within themselves and looking for the source of their fiction in their own subconscious, made art for the purpose of art. With this behavior, the connection of literature with its readers has weakened. Modernism, which always aims for the new, has led to a new quest in the world because of its inability in answering the expectaitons. The name of this quest is called postmodernism. Postmodernism, which does not completely reject modernism, builds its ground on pluralism. While modernism is the '' ......or…… '' conjunction, postmodernism is "both… and… ''. Although experimental literature reveals itself throughout the history of literature, it is the postmodern period in which it has reached its broadest usage. Experimental literature, which is more structured, has a structure that precedes the new.
