Investigation of aggression and socialization levels of Muş province sports high school students according to demographic characteristics

This research aimed to examine the aggression and socialization levels of sports high school students according to their demographic characteristics. A general survey design, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the research. The population of the research consists of sports high school students in Muş province, while the sample consists of a total of 200 students, 110 males and 90 females, who participated in the research voluntarily. In the study, a demographic information form consisting of 7 questions created by the researcher, the Buss-Perry aggression scale adapted to Turkish by Madran (2013) and Şahan's (2007) socialization dimension inventory were used as data collection tools. SPSS package program was used to analyze the data. Parametric tests such as independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and post-hoc (LDS) test for intra-group differences were applied to normally distributed data. According to research findings family income status in variable physical aggression and anger subscales sizes with aggression in total points, licensed sport to do in variable physical aggression subscales in size and sports history in variable anger subscales in size groups between significant a difference has been detected (p˂0.05). At the level of socialization, a significant difference was determined between the groups in gender and family income variables (p˂0.05). As a result, it was determined that the aggression and socialization levels of sports high school students differ according to some demographic characteristics.
