Mushaf and objectivity

Differing needs, changing society and conditions have brought with them differences in interpretation. Many studies have been conducted in the context of the reasons for these conflicts, which are also valid for the science of tafsir. In the studies conducted in this direction, situations such as the environment in which the exegete lived, his level of knowledge, and his approach style were counted at the point of the origin of the conflicts. Therefore, the reader/interpreter is at the center of subjectivity in understanding the Mushaf. The object is not sufficiently emphasized and the consequences of this are not focused on. Therefore, the most obvious nuance that distinguishes the present thesis from such studies is that in our research, it is pointed out that some disagreements, in other words, subjectivities arise from the text itself. At the same time, it is also examined whether an objectivity can be reached through the expressions that cause disagreement. Especially within the framework of the headings mentioned in the last section, it has been reached that there are some aspects of the Mushaf that prevent objectivity in some respects. In our opinion, the claim of radical objectivity in the points that can be counted under the headings in the last section causes divisions and fights. The claim that the Mushaf sometimes opens the door to subjectivity within the framework of these headings should not be understood to mean that the Qur'anic expressions in the relevant points can be interpreted arbitrarily, that it allows an infinite freedom in this sense, or that it is so closed that no meaning can be reached. Ultimately, the language and the internal context in which this language is used prevent this. What is meant by the fact that some verses open the door to subjectivity is that no universal, final judgment can be made on these expressions.
