Translation of Mustafa (Muslihiddin) bin Muhammed's work called commentary of Surah İhlas into today's turkish and determination of its sources

During the Old Anatolian Turkish period, a large number of works were written, a significant portion of which consisted of surah commentaries and Qur'an translations. One of these works is the Tafsir of Surah al-Ikhlas by Mustafa (Muslihiddin) bin Muhammad, preserved in the Ibn Sina Manuscript Collection of the National Library under the catalog number 06 Mil Yz A 451. In this study, the text was translated into modern Turkish while preserving its semantic and structural integrity, and the Qur'anic verses, hadiths, and classical sources it contains were carefully examined. The tafsir tradition on which the work is based and the extent to which it benefited from various sources were identified. Thus, the scholarly context and historical value of the text were revealed, and its linguistic and stylistic features, along with the exegetical approach of the period, were evaluated. This tafsir not only provides commentary on a short surah of the Qur'an but also reflects the belief system, interpretative traditions, and religious understanding of its time. In this respect, the study contributes both to the analysis of 15th-century Ottoman Turkish texts and to uncovering the linguistic and cultural traces of the classical tafsir tradition.
