Educational elements in Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu's Yesili Hoca Ahmed trilogy

Educational elements are the building blocks and sine qua non of being a virtuous individual. The unwritten rules of social life are formed by human behaviors and the construction of identity with educational elements of these behaviors. For this purpose, educational elements guide the individual to make the right choice and enlighten the life of the individual. Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu is a writer who deals with Turkish history and culture in his works in our literature. Reflecting the educational elements of Turkish culture in his works has an important place in the formation of Turkish identity and transferring it to future generations. In this study, educational elements in Sepetçioğlu's works called Sounds and Lights, The Gerfalcon of Hurmalık and Seal of Light, which are included in the Yesili Hoca Ahmed trilogy, were examined. In the study, the document analysis model, which belongs to the qualitative research method, was used. The data collected in the study were analyzed according to the descriptive analysis method.In the trilogy examined, the first three educational messages that are most frequently seen in the author's works are educational messages that support personal development (45%), educational messages that support national consciousness (17%), and educational messages that support religious values (14%). Among the novels in the trilogy, the novel with the most messages is The Seal of Light (192), while the novel with the least message is Sounds and Lights (98).
