Sufis in müstakimzade Süleyman Sa'deddin Efendi's called Tuhfe-i Hattatin

Sufism has relations with many fields. One of these fields is art. Sufism andart fields are an inseparable whole and their interactions towards these fields continue continuously. As in history, it is possible to see Sufi thoughts in Works of art today and this provides great richness in terms of aesthetics. Another field that has relations with Sufism is the art of calligraphy. These two fields are two elements that complement each other while following the trace of beauty and aesthetics, and they also reflect the spiritual dimension of Sufism. The art calligraphy is a difficult path that takes a long time and requires patience. İt is learned with its own methods and rules within the teacher-student relationship. A teacher is definitely needed to learn calligraphy. When welook at is relationship with Sufism is a path of suffering. İt is not possible to reach the level of a perfect person without suffering this suffering. Sufism teaches people patience and submission. The art of calligraphy is just like Sufism. Just as you cannot progress in Sufism without having adatad and a sheikh, you cannot progress in the art of calligraphy without a teacher. Starting from this, in our study in question, we will examine the work of Müstakimzâde called Tuhfe-i Hattâtin while the Sufi aspects of the calligraphy in his work were discussed, he preserved the relationship between Sufism and artthe fine arts of calligraphy.
