Translation of Mesnevi-i Şerif by the translator Hayri Bey

Süleyman Hayri Bey is a statesman, divan poet and writer who served in many state duties in the Ottoman Empire. As a divan poet, he wanted to translate "Mesnevî", one of the most important works of history, but he translated only a part of it.Mesnevî is a didactic work in which Mevlânâ wrote stories about the Qur'an, hadith and mysticism in the style of mesnevi. Süleyman Hayri Bey translated a part of the first volume of the work, of which many translations and annotations were made in history, again in verse. In the first part of this study, information will be given about the life of Süleyman Hayri Bey, and in the second part, a general framework will be drawn about Mevlânâ and the period in which he lived, and his masnavi work will be mentioned. In the third chapter that Masnavi Hayri Bey wrote in Ottoman Turkish translation of the transcript will be made by comparison with other translations.
