The Hall-i Daire-i Muaddil By Mustafa B. Ali Rumi al-Muwaqqit (Transcription text grammar analyse)

In this study, ?The Hall-i Daire-i Muaddil? registered as "45 Press Release 1479" in Manisa Provincial Public Library Department of Manuscripts and written in the 16th century by the timekeeper Mustafa Bin Rumi was examined. Hall means to solve and end up a complicated matter. Muaddil means person who solves and corrects.In this work, the calculations were made on the basis of movements of the celestial bodies and the times of praying and sahur had been tried to be determined according to these calculations.The language is quite simple and plain because it hadn?t been written with the concern of art.The aim was teaching . That?why it is about the field of astronomy and partly a scientific work ,a lot of terms had been used.And also in this period Arabic and Persian had influence on Turkish so there were so manyArabic and Persian terms in this work.During this study, after working on the transcription of Hall-i Daire-i Muaddil, the properties about the spelling features, format and phonetic were investigated. The main purpose of this study is to enlighten a text which was written in the field of astronomy in the 16th century and to highlight the features of the language and spelling of a scientific work from that period.
