Analysis of Muzaffer İzgü?s children books in terms of humour elements

Humour; the art of looking at life smiling, encloses many secrets which makehuman life easier.Humour brings in the talents of ;looking through different point ofviews,smiling at negativeness,telling the ideas against injustices,being tolerant andcriticizing.From this point of view;by using humour as meansot during the educationprocess can provide contribution to children's intellectual and personal development.In this study; how humour components in children's books provide contribute tochild education was examined.In the first part;the importance of the research and theproblem situation is pointed.In the second part;conceptual explanations are maderelated with "Humour",information is given in the light of literature inquiry which isabout "The Situation Of Humour On Child Development".In the third part humourcomponents in eight children's books of Muzaffer İzgü which were chosen asexamples for the research are examined from child education point of view.In theforth part results and findings in the fifth part suggestions take place.Key words: Humour, Child Development, Child Literature, Muzaffer İzgü.
