In this study, the variation process of museum architecture and museology and the factors that influence this process are surveyed over the museums which came forward by their visitor numbers in 19th, 20th and 21st century the period called ?Museum Era? on which the number of museums increased. In order to better analyse the variation process of museology , the historical development of museums until 19th century were summerized. These analysis studies were done over the European museums due to their preponderance according to the list involving the most visited 100 museums in 2011 prepared by The Art Newspaper. By selecting three each of 19th, 20th and 21st century museums and basing the date on which their public offerings, these museums ? according to chronological order ? were inspected under the headline of : ? historical process ? the place in location and city scale ? architectural formation and style ? spatial organization ? construction technology and material Having inspected each museum in detail, the differences and similarities among museums inspected were presented by making comparative analysis tables. In conclusion and evaluation part; the museums inspected were evaluated by taking the tables of analysis into consideration and suggestions were devoloped through testing the hypothesis which stated in entrance part.
