Abstract (EN)

The museum creates a new art experience and atmosphere for the art spectator/visitor. When we examine today's understanding of museology and its applications in this context, it welcomes the visitor of the aforementioned atmospheric landscape with different curatorial concepts in both permanent and temporary exhibitions categories. In this encounter, the context that everyone experiences with the objects/artworks in the museums at the visitor's observation point is important. For this, it is important that each object or group of objects is presented together with a good display, and that both the space and the exhibition speak to each other and affect the physical and sensory conditions of the visitor. Considering the extent and the atmosphere in which today's exhibition, exhibition methods and practices have developed, the more the museum visitor appreciates/likes the artwork/object, the more effective the exhibitions are to stay in mind and create a memory. The aim of our Master's thesis titled "Contemporary Exhibition Methods in Museums: The Case of the Turkish Isbank Museum of Economic Independence" is to evaluate the exhibition methods and practices in both institutional and private/autonomous museology, with examples from the world and Turkey, through different museum types in Ankara museums.
