Abstract (EN)

With the historical process of societies, the existing music and discourse came together. The expressions in music have been the reflection of the world of emotions such as love, love, sadness and happiness. Music, which takes people to the world of emotion, sometimes embodies ideology. Music, which continues its historical journey in the form of laments, folk songs and long weather, is now enriched with works such as Pop, Rock and Arabesque. As one of the methods used in political communication, propaganda is a very effective method for convincing the voter masses. The ideology in the content of this method has given a purpose to all kinds of discourse. People or organizations who want to obtain political power are organizing a long-term election campaign. In this election campaign, these political structures that try to reach every neighborhood and village by election buses use music ideologically. For this purpose, it transforms current or known music pieces into their own ideologies in order to reach their target audiences. This transformation is a more ideological reflection of political language. In this master's thesis, the case studies of music used by AK Parti and HDP in the November 1, 2015 elections were analyzed by discourse analysis method. Conservative Democrats in power, the AK Party Nationalist rhetoric while trying to call out to the electorate, while HDP secular Kurds have positioned their propaganda activities to Turkey, adding that the rhetoric of the party's ideological discourse of nationalism. The HDP endeavored to address Kurdish citizens living in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia and migrating to big cities. The events that took place in the country before the November 1 elections made it even more important. Since the target groups of both parties were close to each other, they used music intensively in order to protect their voters and obtain new voters.
