Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this research is to determine, to what extent the music education degree students have a need for listening to music and music culture lectures. According to the determined levels of need, this research includes specialist views and recommendations for the units and subjects of the program design. The design also considers the students? personal knowledge and needs about listening to music, via gathered data. The student and specialist survey which is used for gathering data, is prepared according to 5 likert scale, the student survey consists of two parts. The specialist survey includes ?73 headlines, 5 of which are unit headlines? and asks questions about the necessity of these subject and unit headlines. The scales have been found highly credible, according to Cronbach?s Alpha test. In the data analysis, the charts have been transformed to numerical data according to the subject observation count (N) and percentage (%) distribution chart. Chi-Square test has been applied to determine a meaningful difference between given answers statistically whereas the ANOVA Test has been applied to determine the difference between the specialist profession years and titles. According to the gathered data, it has been concluded that it is helpful for becoming a qualified music listener that a lecture in the college level be there. It has also been observed that in the applied department lectures, there is not enough time for events about listening to music and students? knowledge about different music kinds are not adequate. To answer these needs, the specialists emphasize that draft lecture subjects be should be improved, this way the lecture will contribute to professional music education and integration. In this context, ?listening to music and music culture program design suggestion? is presented.
