Abstract (EN)
In this study, the positive and negative effects of the existing environmental conditions of the music teachers working in Osmaniye province on the motivation of working of music teachers were investigated. The sample of the study consists of music teachers working in private and public schools in Osmaniye in 2018-2019 academic year. For this purpose, a questionnaire was prepared to be applied to 44 music teachers working in public and private schools in Osmaniye city center and districts. The first section of the 7-item questionnaire, which was created on Google Forms, was prepared for various demographic variables. In the second part of the questionnaire, the 23-item section was prepared in a 5-point Likert system to get the motivation views of music teachers in different situations. In the second part of the questionnaire, the second part of the questionnaire is based on the factors such as the physical conditions, social environment, technical infrastructure, administrator, branch-other branch teachers, parents and students' attitudes of the music teachers in the provinces and the schools where they work. questions. The survey data obtained were analyzed in SPSS v.23 program and frequency and percentage results were converted into tables and graphs. The validity and reliability analyzes of the likert type questions were also performed. According to the validity and reliability analyzes, the questions in the questionnaire were found to be valid and reliable (α = 0.853). According to the data obtained from the study, it was determined that the motivation of the music teachers from the social environment and physical conditions could be positively and negatively affected by the presence of music-equipped music class, staging equipment, and the presence of the necessary tools for instructional technologies in the classrooms. Again, the results showed that when the content of digital music (mp3, mp4, etc.) present in social media was used in the lessons, music teachers had positive effects on their motivation. According to another result obtained from the study, it is seen that the positive and negative attitudes of the school administration and the provincial administration towards the professional activities prepared by the music teachers have an effect on the motivation of the music teachers. The presence and participation of cultural and social activities in the province they work in has a positive effect on the motivation of music teachers. It has been determined that the presence of music stores and music stores in the region where concert activities will be performed have positive effects on the motivation of music teachers. In the study, where the conditions such as transportation and climatic conditions in the region they live in are also determined, in the light of the data obtained in general, important information has been obtained about the situations in which music teachers can provide positive motivation towards working motivations. Together with this information, opinions and suggestions were made in order to keep the motivation of music teachers at a high level and to enable them to work more effectively and efficiently.
