Abstract (EN)
The main focus of this performance report is mental training in music performance. In the study, mental training, which has been a great help to musicians as much as to athletes, was examined with the help of the available sources. In the first chapter of the study, which consists of two main chapters, topics such as the origin and history of mental training, mental training in sports, the differences between the mental training in sports and in music, mental training in music performance, and impacts and advantages of mental training in music performance, were explored and examined. The second chapter of the study focused on the mental training system called Mental Training in Musical Education, which was found and systematized by Prof. Tatjana Orloff-Tschekorsky. After presenting the technical details of this system, it was attempted to compose a mental training guide for oboe players. Key Words: Mental Training, Music, Sports, Orloff-Tschekorsky, Oboe
