Analysis of musicians' profile and work motivation

This study was written in order to determine the job motivation levels of musicians and to examine various demographic variables affecting this motivation. Music is one of the oldest and most universal branches of art in human history. However, the sustainability of a musical career depends not only on artistic talent and technical skills, but also on an individual's professional motivation, lifestyle and the socio-economic conditions he or she faces. In this context, the understanding of the motivational dynamics that guide the professional lives of musicians offers important contributions to both the processes of art production and the perspective of cultural economics. The main purpose of this research is to reveal the factors affecting musicians' job motivations in detail, to examine and analyze how these factors relate to demographic variables. Individuals active in the music industry reflect the diversity and richness of this field with their unique personalities and experiences with different social backgrounds. Therefore, in this study, analyzing the elements that are effective in the formation of musicians' professional identities is seen as an important step towards Deciphering the interaction between the business world, cultural structures and individual motivations. This thesis aims to provide both the academic world and different stakeholders of the music industry with the opportunity to understand the professional lives of musicians in more depth.
