Özet (EN)
Myasthenia Gravis affects the quality of life of patients with the symptoms and complaints it causes. This study, it was aimed to evaluate the quality of life with MGQoL-15, Beck anxiety and depression scales, and to investigate the blink reflex responses in voluntary participants among Myasthenia Gravis patients. This study was completed by performing electrophysiological prospective evaluation, survey studies and retrospective file reviews on patients who were followed up with a diagnosis of Myasthenia Gravis. Additionally, MGQoL-15, Beck anxiety, and depression scales were administered. Afterward, a Blink reflex study was performed. The data were analyzed with IBM SPSS version 23 software. The average disease duration of the patients included in the study during the study period was five years and when the follow-up periods were evaluated, 60% were followed with a diagnosis of early-onset MG, and 40% were followed with a diagnosis of late-onset MG. In the Beck Depression scale evaluation, the result of approximately one in three patients was found to be high (31.6%), while in the Beck Anxiety scale evaluation, half of the patients (50%) were found to have no anxiety. The rate of depression was statistically less in the group with MGFA remission and the MGQoL15 score was significantly higher than the group without MGFA Remission (p = 0.044 and 0.00, respectively) was higher. However, the MGQoL15 score in the depression group was significantly (p = 0.023) higher than the nondepression group. Mood disorders are less affected in patients with remission of muscle dysfunction. More research is needed on improving the quality of life of patients with progressive muscle dysfunction.
