Abstract (EN)
Heterocyclic compounds in organic chemistry play a vital role in the metabolism of living cells. Many heterocyclic compounds, both synthetic and natural, are pharmacologically active and have clinical uses. Azole and benzoazole compounds have a wide range of applications such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and veterinary products. It also has applications as sensitizers, enhancers, antioxidants, corrosion inhibitors, copolymers, dyestuffs. Although Pd-catalyzed coupling reactions are used in cytochiometric amounts, they constitute a wide area of research due to their features such as achieving high cycle numbers, shorter reaction times, use in the pharmaceutical industry and biological activities. Following the reporting of the first palladium-catalyzed reactions Many coupling reactions have been carried out using many different organic halides and organometallic compounds. Different Pd-catalyst designs have enriched target-oriented synthesis applications in many fields such as pharmaceuticals, fluorescent compounds and other high-value applicable products. The development and tolerance of various functional groups has revolutionized Pd-catalysis as a fundamental tool with new hopes to form various C-C and C-X bonds (X = F, NR2, OR, SR, etc.) also in processing, medicinal chemistry and nanotechnology. The results found can be summarized under three headings: 1. N-alkylbenzimidazole ligands (1a-d) were synthesized and their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods. 2. Pd(II)-azole complexes (2a-d) were synthesized by interacting N-alkylbenzimidazole ligands (1a-d) with PdCl2 and their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods. 3. The activities of synthesized Pd(II)-azole complexes in arylation of heteroaromatic compounds were investigated. Keywords:Palladium, Azole compounds, C-C cross coupling reactions
