Aspects of speech, poetry and being a poet in Nâbî's Hayyri̇ye and Türkçe Divan

Nâbî is the greatest representative of 17th-century classical Turkish poetry in the didactic style. He lived in a century in which the Ottoman Empire experienced a decline in administrative, military and economic terms, despite the fact that its power in literary terms continued. Nabi, who criticized his era and produced solutions, put forward his opinions regarding different matters in his works Hayyriye and Türkçe Divan. In this study, we have tried to determine Nâbî's interpretation of speech, approach to the language discourse, interpretation of poetry and being a poet in these two works: Türkçe Divan and Hayriyye of Nâbî. By gathering the data about the notion of speech, poems and being of a poet that we have obtained from Nâbî's own poems and taking them from a literary point of view, it is aimed to emphasize the literary views and poetics of Nâbî. We believe that making Nabi's literary course which lasted more than half of a century clearer, by determining his perception of speech, poem and being a poet will contribute to the Turkish literature greatly.
