Abstract (EN)

Undoped strontium gadolinium borate (Sr3Gd2(BO3)4), dysprosium (Dy) doped strontium yttrium borate (Sr3Y2(BO3)4:Dy) dysprosium, (Dy) doped strontium gadolinium borate (Sr3Gd2(BO3)4:Dy), lithium doped strontium gadolinium borate (Sr3Gd2(BO3)4: Li), copper doped strontium gadolinium borate (Sr3Gd2(BO3)4:Cu) and sodium doped strontium gadolinium borate (Sr3Gd2(BO3)4:Na) as a co-doped dysprosium (Dy) and lithium (Li) doped strontium gadolinium borate (Sr3Gd2(BO3)4:Dy,Li), dysprosium (Dy) and sodium (Na) doped strontium gadolinium borate (Sr3Gd2(BO3)4:Dy,Na) and dysprosium (Dy) and copper (Cu) doped strontium gadolinium borate (Sr3Gd2(BO3)4:Dy,Cu) phosphors were synthesized by conventional solid state method. The X-ray diffraction analysis of all phosphors materials were done in order to determine the success of synthesizes. Radioluminescence spectra of all synthesized phosphorous materials were investigated. Prominent electronic transitions corresponding to doped rare earth ions were observed in the luminescence spectrum of the synthesized phosphors doped with rare earth ion. The radioluminescence (RL) measurements shows that the series of the emissions with dominating transitions at 4F9/26Hj (j=9/2, 11/2, 13/2 and 15/2). The sharp emission properties show that these phosphors are suitable host for rare-earth ion doped phosphor material. In this study, the thermoluminescence (TL) properties of synthesized phosphors were investigated after ultraviolet (UV) and beta irradiation. Thermoluminescence (TL) glow curves of the materials were measured in order to assess their potential in the field of radiation dosimetry. TL kinetic parameters, dose response, stability and fading characteristics of dysprosium (Dy) doped strontium gadolinium borate (Sr3Gd2(BO3)4: Dy) phosphor were examined since TL results of the phosphor revealed that is a promising TL dosimeter.
