Synthesis of lanthanum borate doped with rare earth ions and investigation of its thermoluminescence properties

Özet (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to synthesize the phosphorus material with the formula LaBO3 by the combustion method and to dope the resulting phosphors with Tb+3, Dy+3, Sm+3 rare earth ions. Afterwards, the structural and microstructural properties of these products will be determined. For this, chemical structure analysis will be performed using XRD and SEM methods. The crystal structure of the material will be revealed by examining the diffraction patterns using the XRD analysis method and comparing its composition with certain standard patterns. Then, the thermoluminescence (TL) properties of the synthesized materials will be examined. For this purpose, the production of a new material that can be used for dosimetric purposes will be achieved. At the same time, TL kinetic parameters will be calculated and its suitability for dosimetric use will be investigated. If this study, which is thought to have original value, is concluded successfully and the predicted results are obtained, the gap in the international literature will be filled. In addition, radiation dosimeters are important for our country where nuclear power plants are planned to be established, and it is thought that this study will contribute to the development of a new dosimetric material. At the same time, every study carried out with boron products is important for our country, which is one of the leading countries in the world with its boron reserves.
