Özet (EN)
In this study, nickel, silver and binary nickel-silver deposited activated carbon electrode (Ni/C, Ag/C and Ni-Ag/C) prepared by electroless deposition method were examined for their electrocatalytic activities towards the oxidation of hydrogen peroxide, natriumborohydride, methanol and ethanol in alkaline solutions. The surface microstructures were examined by SEM and EDAX methods. The methods of cyclic voltammetery (CV) were employed. In CV studies, in the presence of hydrogen peroxide Ni deposited activated carbon powder electrode shows a significantly higher response for hydrogen peroxide oxidation. The anodic peak currents show linear dependency upon the square root of scan rate. This behavior is the characteristic of a diffusion controlled process.
