Özet (EN)

Every year, traffic accidents occur due to icing and snow, our citizens lose their lives, and big financial and moral losses take place. At airports, there is the danger of icing and cover of snow on runway and apron, which directly threatens the life and property security. Usage of salt and other chemicals against icing damages existing construction materials and vehicles. Salt-chemical pouring or plowing causes temporary stop in the utilization of roads and runways, which in turn generates staff, vehicle, fuel and consumable costs. In addition, congested traffic results in flight cancellations and delays, causing financial and moral losses. In order to determine the electrically heated mortar, conductive materials (13 mm steel fiber, 6 mm steel fiber, brass powder and fiber, copper powder and fiber, carbon fiber, multiwall carbon nanotube, nano iron oxide, nano graphene) was subjected to a heating test. According to these results, different mixtures were designed. Three 5 × 5 × 2,5 cm³ prisms were produced from each mixture. A total of 18 different mortar mixes were prepared, including the reference mix. On the 7th day and on the 35th day, electricity was applied and heating tests were carried out. Obtained in heating test; temperature increase, temperature increase rate and consumed energy were used as performance parameters and a scoring system was developed. The relationship between electrical resistance change and temperature increase was determined. Mixtures with the best-heated macro and nano-sized materials were identified. Electricity-heated mortar can be used to heat airports, roads and buildings.
