Abstract (EN)
Filling is a method of restoring normal function and appearance to a tooth that has been deformed as a result of the force applied on it, or has lost its function due to the caries it contains in its structure, or is about to lose it. Fillings, the purpose of which is to provide the normal function and appearance of a tooth that has lost its function, have started to be used for different purposes today, especially for aesthetic concerns. With the development of materials science throughout history, a continuous development and change has been observed in filling materials. As a result of these developments, it is known that there are many dental fillings today. Amalgam and composite fillings, which are the preferred fillings in dental applications today, have more usage areas compared to other fillings according to the advantages they contain. Composite and amalgam fillings, which are widely used today, constitute the main topic of our thesis. In our thesis study, nanoparticle materials with biocompatibility of 15%, 20% and 25% by weight were added to the existing amalgam and composite filling materials. One of these materials is titanium powder, which has an inorganic structure, and the other nanoparticle material is determined as Pistachio shell peanut powder. The effects of these nanoparticle materials, which are added to amalgam and composite fillings as a support, on the mechanical properties of the fillings have been studied.
