Abstract (EN)

Nazlı Eray carried her novels, which she started with magical realism, to magical documentary realism or, in her own words, documentary biographical novel due to her curiosity/passion for biography. The author, who combines fiction with biography, uses I language in his works, and it is seen that the narrator passes his autobiography in a fragmented way from the author's life. Although it is possible to read the author's fragmented autobiography in the works, the author's novels are examined in terms of content, structure and plot, personal staff, time and place, perspective and narrator, language and style. The heroes, whose life stories borrowed from the author's biography meet with magical realism, enter into an intense plot, experience an intertemporal transition and wander through different venues and are told in dream narration form. While the speed of the dream narration form and the flow of events causes the plot to be complex and intense, the author's argument as a thesis is told with a blur of consciousness that the distinction between "what is real and what is dream" cannot be made. Author illusion world, history, art history, theater, music, cinema people had borrowed from the world, indigenous motifs of famous people meet in Turkey with the author's statement atmosphere is created. Magic and fortune-telling have an important place in the works. While the past and future of the narrator is told with broad bean, tarot fortune or coffee fortune, fortune-telling is not used for solving the events, it only reveals the events, what is happening, and the narration continues to be ambiguous. The writer, who wants to invite his reader to the magical world, brings together reality and fiction, the magical world he creates using a simple, enthusiastic and explanatory narrative.
