Archaic elements in Necati Bey Divan

The topic of this thesis is the analysis of archaicel elements according to existence of suffix and vocabulary in the Necati Bey Divan.The study is divided into 4 main parts as Introduction, Archaic Examples seen in the prefixes and suffixes, Archaic examples in vocabulary and Result. In the introduction, part after some information was given about archaism, the way followed while analysing the study was tried to explain. Then, it was discussed about Necati Bey's life and his literarypersonality. In the part of Archaic Examples seen in the prefixes and suffixes, the archaic prefixes, suffixes and structures taken from the Divan were tried to present by comparing the usage of Turkish language in the historical fields. In the part of the Archaic examples in vocabulary, the examples which are not in the Güncel Türkçe Sözlük and thought to be archaic were included in the study together with the explanations and examples in the Tarama Sözlüğü. In the next step, these examples were evaluated by looking the usage of them in the Derleme Sözlüğü. There cords not found in the Türkçe Sözlük were called as archaic. Place of use of the word were listed if it exists. In the result part, the evaluations obtained from the study were listed. We tried to give the idiom and proverbs in the Divan showing differences from to day's usage by comparing them the similar ones in the contemporary Atasözleri ve Deyimler Sözlüğü. The Necati Bey Divan, which is a work of the late part of 16th century is an important source because it enables us to reach the language characteristics and vocabulary examples of the period. The Divan worths studying because of the fact that the language is simple and understandable and the material of the workmay be accepted as local and the idioms and proverbs are frequently used.
