The abstract concepts of the Diwan of Necati

The subject of our thesis is the abstract concepts of The Diwan of Necati, which is one of the important poets of the XVth century. The thesis consists of three parts. In the first part, information about Necati's life, art and work is given mainly by using literary histories, poets tezkires and various researches. These condchapter is dedicated to abstract concepts in the Diwan and which are subject to analogy. While preparing this section, Necati's Diwan has been read many times, abstract concepts that are subject to analogy have been identified, plugged and arranged alphabetically. Afterthat, the meanings of the concepts were given and the couplets that were used in the concepts were translated into plain writing and finally, the simulations of the seabstract concepts were discussed. The elements of analogy of each concept are listed in alphabetical order. Sequence numbers and couplet numbers of the poems passed by thecouplets selected from the Diwan were recorded. In the third chapter, elements of "similar-likened" and "likener-similar" are arranged as two tables, thus, it was tried to create the possibility of monitoring the abstract concepts which Necati likes abstract or concrete elements. In addition, how many times the poet used the Divan as similar to the concept, which analogy is preferred for the abstract concept is shown in detail. Besides, the numerical relationship of the elements that are similar to the similar concepts in the graphs inserted at the end of the the sisand the similarities with the simulated elements are presented in a visual form.
