Abstract (EN)
When language is mentioned, the first thing that comes to mind is communication. Even though people come from different cultures, the system that gathers all people under the same roof and provides this communication is language. Although the language varies across nations, the Turkish language, like every other language, has its own specific rules and frameworks. We can best see the publication of these rules in the works of master Turkish poets and writers. In order to establish the purpose of arranging the word sequence, it is to provide the syntax of Turkish and present the sentence. In this study, the syntax in Necati Cumalı's work "Susuz Yaz" has been examined. Our study consists of two parts. In the first part, information about Necati Cumalı's life, literary personality and works has been given. In the second part, the elements of the sentence and the functions of these elements, word groups and the definitions of these groups have been examined and different opinions and classifications of researchers have been given. Afterwards, the connection forms of the sentences, sentences according to the type and place of the predicate, the semantic features of the sentences have been examined and explained with examples from the work "Susuz Yaz". Finally, the sentences selected from the work have been analyzed and the elements and word groups of these sentences have been shown in detail. The sources used in the study have been given in the bibliography section. The aim of our thesis is to contribute to the syntax of Turkish language by examining the work of Necati Cumalı, one of the important writers of Turkish literature, called "Susuz Yaz".
