The vocabulary and the suffix category that creates possessive constructions in Çile,written by Necip Fazıl Kısakürek

According to common grammar understanding, the fact that Turkish language is categorized as two separate classes; affixes and suffixes leads to a common problem for many grammarians. However, Turkish has 10 (ten) suffix categories based on adherent opposition. One of them is the category of "Noun Phrase Suffixes". In our study, the category of "Noun Phrase Suffixes" and thematic statement entity have been examined in the book called "Çile", a book of Necip Fazıl Kısakürek who is one of the master poets of Republic period and whom we have thought that his works would exhibit a great of related examples. To be a base for the mentioned topics, the information related to statement entity and phrases is provided in the introduction part. After the short part on the life of the poet and his works, all poems in the book have been examined and noun phrases with specification and adjectival functions have been detected; moreover, the reason why the noun phrase suffixes should be recognized in a different category has been evaluated by considering the functions of these suffixes in each word in these phrases. In the second part of the study, the data related to the work's thematic statement entity is given via figures. The final part of the study includes line numbered text, word phrases and frequency phrases.
